Reflecting on a Stellar Journey with Outpost VFX as a CG Lead on FastX
As the CG Lead, I was entrenched in the creative layer behind bringing the world of FastX to life. It's also worth mentioning the hours spent assisting several talented artists as they began their journeys with Houdini. My goal was to help them grow technically and bring them new skills that they could reuse in the future.
Modeling Marvels : Every piece, every corner, and every model you see on-screen? I had the honor of modeling each of them. From the simplest of props to the most intricate elements.
I've also been assigned to crafting the environment of Ipanema ( Brazil ), and it wasn't a small feat. I had to extend the Set fitting with a real place. Making something smooth between reality and CG.
All the Vegetation, Buildings, Props, and Mountains.
The challenge was to keep something invisible as much as possible.
Mastery with Houdini : One of the crown jewels of this project was using Houdini Arnold for Scatter Set Dressing.
The completion of FastX is a testament to my passion and a symbol of the collaborative spirit, hard work, and immense talent of the entire team at Outpost VFX. A massive thank you to everyone involved.
